How to Apply for an EIN Yourself

We do not recommend applying for an EIN yourself. 

The current IRS processing time is now 3 to 6 months using this method. If you make a mistake, you’re back to square 1 and have to wait another 3 to 6 months all over again. 

Previously the IRS also allowed telephone applications but they no longer accept these.  Now all applications must be sent via fax or post.

The IRS also does not allow online applications by non-residents unless they already have a SSN or ITIN.

We apply for your EIN directly via an authorized IRS issuing agent. These usually take 7 working days to process.

For rush applications (at an extra cost) we may be able to process them in 2-3 working days.
