What is an EIN?
An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number (FEIN), or Federal Tax Identification Number (FTIN), or Tax Identification Number (TIN), is like a Social Security number (SSN) for your business.
This unique nine-digit EIN number allows the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to identify businesses for tax reporting.
Your business received 1 EIN only. It is not transferrable to a new company and it is not shared between companies.
There is no fee to renew your EIN. It’s yours for the life of your company.
